Achievements
Larnelle's song, "Mighty Spirit" from his release I Can Begin Again was featured on the nationally televised public service announcement (PSA) for the Points of Light Foundation. Larnelle performed the song for former President & Mrs. Bush at the White House several times. The PSA became the longest running of its kind in television history.
He Was a featured soloist at the Vice Presidential Debate of 2000. In 1999, Larnelle was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Music Degree from Campbellsville University, located in Larnelle's home state of Kentucky.
He has been featured several times on CNN's live broadcast of the 17th Annual Easter Service held at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. He has also performed for the National Caring Institute Awards ceremony at Senate Hall in Washington, DC. at a special concert in Carnegie Hall. Larnelle was featured on the ABC Easter special, "Resurrecting Hope". He also has had the honor of being featured in 2 very popular Christian hard cover books: I've Just Seen Jesus- published by J. Countryman & What my Parents Did Right - published by Star Song Publishing.
He was the featured artist as part of the history making Moscow Project - sponsored by the International Bible Society and Youth For Christ. The project, which distributed 4 million Russian New Testaments, culminated in the first gospel concert ever held in the Kremlin.
